About this speaker

I am currently a graduate assistant for the Curriculum and Instruction (Literacy Education) Ph.D. program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and Simultaneous Interpretation. I have a wealth of expertise garnered from 8 years of immersion in the education field. My professional achievements include being recognized as a Fulbright alumnus and obtaining certifications in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) and Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). Furthermore, I have been honored with certifications from esteemed organizations such as National Geographic, Microsoft, and Google, validating my aptitude as an educator.

Throughout my career, I have adeptly taught English as a Second and Foreign Language (ESL/EFL) to adult learners from more than 14 nations, each with diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. I have implemented over 110 individual education plans (IEPs), tailored to address the unique needs of my students. I have also prepared over 580 students to ESL exams and standardized tests such as the TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo. Additionally, I have hands-on experience in curriculum design and holistic student development. I have trained 1620+ teachers from 11+ countries.

An achievement of particular pride is my invitation to deliver a TEDx talk on "Beliefs, Learning, and the Growth Mindset." Finally, I have recently applied for a TEDx license to host a university event at UNLV that aims to unearth students' voices and provide a platform for the dissemination of innovative ideas.
