Reimagining Spaces for Creating Tacit Learning Experiences
A Talk by Tracey Bryan (STEM Coordinator, The American School Foundation)
About this Talk
Often spaces across a campus are unused or underutilized yet educators are constantly told that there is no space for trying out an innovative idea. In this session you will be challenged to look for spaces in your school that could be transformed or have multiple uses among stakeholders and create a plan for multi-use spaces. I will share some of the successes and challenges of creating an 80 square meter MakerSpace in the prior Parents' Association office, which now serves as a location for the completion of over 6000 student engagements per semester, across K-12 and multiple disciplines.
